Mission Statement

The Jellis Foundation, a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) organization established in 2024, firmly believes that education is the cornerstone of a prosperous society. With this conviction in mind, our foundation is dedicated to providing scholarships to black youths residing within a 2300-mile radius of our community, granting them access to postsecondary education that would otherwise be financially out of reach. To be eligible for a scholarship, candidates must demonstrate a clear career goal, show academic promise, possess good character, and exhibit a burning desire to successfully complete a higher education program. Our ultimate objective is to support, motivate, and award as many students as possible with scholarships each year, ensuring that our assistance continues for many years to come.

Vision

The Foundation sees higher education as a lifeline, an agent of change for individuals, families, communities, and nations. We envision a community that recognizes the importance of educational attainment and assures positive educational outcomes are accessible to all black youths regardless of economic circumstance.
